Due to AI-related circumstances, I've deleted all of my music from SoundCloud as of today. I do not and will never consent to AI being trained on my music or anything else that I've made.

Yes, I'm aware that SoundCloud is updating their terms of use again, but the damage has already been done, and I cannot trust big corporations when it comes to consent. SoundCloud has become terminally enshittified, and the more I continued to use the platform, the more I noticed its enshittification getting worse and worse.

This isn't me quitting music or anything, I'll still be composing music, but I won't be uploading them to SoundCloud ever again.

Hi, it's Alice, soon to be formerly known as B1n4ry.

You see, ever since I came out as a trans girl in 2023, I've been contemplating whether or not I should retire the B1n4ry alias, but I hesitated to do so because I know most people still know me by that alias. However, over time, I've started to increasingly realize that I don't feel connected to the B1n4ry alias anymore. It aged very horribly and it didn't suit me.

So after some thinking, I've decided that I'll be changing my main alias from B1n4ry to Rina*, and I'm slowly rebranding most of my accounts on other sites to reflect the alias change.

In case anyone's asking how I came up with the Rina* alias, I took the letters from the word "binary", which my previous alias was derived from, and rearranged those letters to "By Rina". As for the asterisk next to it, it actually has multiple meanings. It can mean a flower, a star, a beautiful snow crystal, or a sort of indicator that "Rina" is an alias.

No need to worry though, only my main alias is changing. I'm still the same person and I'll continue making purely 125 BPM music, but I'll be releasing my new music as Rina* from now on.

So... I have a diary now, and this is my first entry. I'm not sure how often I'll write here, though...

If this isn't your first time visiting my website, you may have already noticed that it has been given a huge makeover. A new look, a new layout, a new site name, a new site button, a new favicon, and some new links on the navigation section such as this diary and a Q&A page. I've been thinking of overhauling my website for some time now, and I figured that January 25th would be a good time to release the update.

The "Shrines" page is coming sooner or later though, as I still haven't gotten around to making shrines yet. Maybe someday...
